Niseido® Ju Jitsu is a 100% full defensive martial art.
Unlike many other styles of martial arts, Niseido® Ju Jitsu continually strives to live up to the seven principles of the Code of Bushido: Humility, Truthfulness, Bravery, Benevolence, Compassion, Sincerity, Loyalty and Devotion to God, our country, families, friends, and to every aspect of life.
I put some photos together in a brief slide show from Andrei’s Niseido Black Belt Test. All I can say is “ibuprofen” for those who worked with him….
Andrei Itkis tested for his Niseido Jujitsu Black Belt on Friday March 28 2014. He did an outstanding job plowing through 2 plus hour grueling examination. It never ceases to amaze me how the bar gets raised on these tests year after year. When I look back to some of the earlier black belt videos you quickly realize not only how the physical preparation has gone to a whole new level but the precision of techniques has as well. We are proud to have him as a new Niseido Black Belt.

This clip is from the end of Robert Thompsons Black Belt Test where he gets to wear his black belt for the very first time. The audio is a bit faint but legible. I had to use my camera because the camcorder battery was exausted
I had the privilege to be on the grading board for Roberts test on Saturday. The grading board had to dig pretty deep to find things to rattle his cage with. He had great stamina, strength, focus and speed blasting through the 2 1/2 hour grueling exam. This combined clips run about 45 minutes of the almost 2 1/2 hour test he took so you can just imagine! This test came after Roberts amazing physical comeback from a very serious health problem that he overcame as he was getting prepared for this.

Here’s another short video clip from our Women’s Self Defense Class last Saturday. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, they all did well!
What I like about this gal is she actually chased Brandon down. How about that gator roll at the end?
Here’s a short video clip of the ground fighting portion of Saturdays 3 hour women’s self defense / anti abduction seminar. These were a tough group of gals that did an amazing job in those 3 short hours. Their confidence levels rose to a whole new level as they completed the course.
Danny Ramos just returned to class Monday night after having knee surgery late in November. Great recovery! He’s not going to be 100% for sometime however nothing will keep him off the mats. Danny is extremely loyal and committed to the art of Niseido jujitsu. It was an honor to award him with the Student of The Year Award from our club. He is more than deserving of that award.
Looking to wrap Purple around his waist in 2014!
Pictured here with Danny and myself are the students of the Florida Karate Center under Shihon Jack Morris and Renshi Pam Morris. It was a great opportunity to combine our classes with theirs. It’s been a real win – win situation. Again congratulations to Danny Ramos.
